The “Power of One Conference 2012”, an inter-regional learning exchange on the role of citizens and civil society in stimulating social change during periods of transition, will take place from 9-11 October 2012 in Cyprus. The Cypriot civil society network “Peace it Together” will host the event that will focus on knowledge sharing between Cyprus, Central and Eastern Europe, and the Arab region. By convening in the United Nations buffer zone in Nicosia, the conference reflects the position of Cyprus as a historical, cultural and geographical crossroad between the two regions.
The key output of the conference will be the development of at least four concrete inter-regional projects or initiatives that address key issues across the regions.
